Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. Growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as traditional boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos and the dramatic shows that she attends. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many chamber and opera choirs. When she moved to California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in traditional Latin American music at private occasions. As an active performer as well as an instructor and instructor, her passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of The Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations to keep this tradition in the present.
